Description of the measure

Reduced heat stress by passive cooling e.g. open roofs/side walls, free ventilated pent roof, floor cooling

Comments on sustainability

By using passive ventilation in the barn, the use of energy intensive systems such as ventilators can be reduced. Technical advice may be necessary. Cooler temperatures reduce ammonia emissions and can significantly support the animal welfare and the animal health.
