Description of the measure

Increase machine capacity on farm to take advantage of dry spells during harvest and for any field work

Comments on sustainability

Positive effect on greenhouse gas emissions, air quality and biodiversity as fertilizers are brought out at the correct time to avoid unnecessary emissions and nitrate leaching. Positive effect on soil as soil compaction is reduced by avoiding wet weather conditions. The farmer can take advantage of good harvest conditions when weather becomes unpredictable.
