In the absence of natural shelters, temporary lightweight structures are recommended for grazing animals in order to avoid heat stress. Although previous studies do not unequivocally confirm a reduction in animal welfare due to the lack of a shelter, animals have been shown to prefer shade. In addition, it is advisable to place the drinking vessels under or near the sheds.
